On a problem of Henning and Yeo about the transversal number of uniform linear systems whose 2-packing number is fixed

For r≥2r\geq2, let (P,L)(P,\mathcal{L}) be an rr-uniform linear system. The transversal number τ(P,L)\tau(P,\mathcal{L}) of (P,L)(P,\mathcal{L}) is the minimum number of points that intersect every line of (P,L)(P,\mathcal{L}). The 2-packing number ν2(P,L)\nu_2(P,\mathcal{L}) of (P,L)(P,\mathcal{L}) is the maximum number of lines such that the intersection of any three of them is empty. In [Discrete Math. 313 (2013), 959--966] Henning and Yeo posed the following question: Is it true that if (P,L)(P,\mathcal{L}) is a rr-uniform linear system then τ(P,L)≤∣P∣+∣L∣r+1\tau(P,\mathcal{L})\leq\displaystyle\frac{|P|+|\mathcal{L}|}{r+1} holds for all k≥2k\geq2?. In this paper, some results about of rr-uniform linear systems whose 2-packing number is fixed which satisfies the inequality are given

Intracoronary artery retrograde thrombolysis combined with percutaneous coronary interventions for ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction complicated with diabetes mellitus: A case report and literature review

BackgroundThe management of a large thrombus burden in patients with acute myocardial infarction and diabetes is still a worldwide problem.Case presentationA 74-year-old Chinese woman presented with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) complicated with diabetes mellitus and hypertension. Angiography revealed massive thrombus formation in the mid-segment of the right coronary artery leading to vascular occlusion. The sheared balloon was placed far from the occlusion segment and urokinase (100,000 u) was administered for intracoronary artery retrograde thrombolysis, and thrombolysis in myocardial infarction (TIMI) grade 3 blood flow was restored within 7 min. At last, one stent was accurately implanted into the culprit’s vessel. No-reflow, coronary slow flow, and reperfusion arrhythmia were not observed during this process.ConclusionIntracoronary artery retrograde thrombolysis (ICART) can be effectively and safely used in patients with STEMI along with diabetes mellitus and hypertension, even if the myocardial infarction exceeds 12 h (REST or named ICART ClinicalTrials.gov number, ChiCTR1900023849)

Voltage Control of Skyrmion Bubbles for Topological Flexible Spintronic Devices

The electric field is an energy-efficient tool that can be leveraged to control spin-orbit coupling. Although Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interactions (DMI) in magnetic skyrmion systems can be regulated in flat state using an electric field, the control of their flexible behavior has remained elusive so far. Here, the double modulation of strain and voltage effects in a flexible ultrathin heavy metal (HM)/ferromagnetic (FM)/insulator (I) system, demonstrating that the interfacial DMI can be dual controlled via a mechanical stress and a circuit gating voltage at room temperature, is reported. An intensive tuning efficiency (26.7 mJ m(-2) V-1) is obtained while maintaining an excellent mechanical strength, which is a result of Rashba-DMI tuning at the FM/I interface. The result is promising in achieving novel flexible topological devices where low operation voltage and excellent flexibility are required
